The UK is one of the world’s most popular destinations to study higher education, with more than 500,000 international students enrolling each year.

High quality education

  • United Kingdom is home to 29 of the top 200 universities in the world, according to the latest rankings, including the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019 No. 1 – the University of Oxford. The progressive approach to teaching is designed to encourage critical thinking and develop independent analytical skills, producing 2% of the world’s most highly cited research, despite representing just 0.9 per cent of the global population.
  • The higher education degrees from UK and qualifications are recognized by employers and academics worldwide.
  •  Quality Masters Study opportunities are available at the majority of UK universities & offering sponsorship to extend Tier 4 visas.
  •   It’s possible to work while you study from UK Visas and Immigration & the UK Council for International Student Affairs.

Will a Masters help in getting a job?

Master’s degrees in the UK are highly regarded by employers. They are also popular among international students, indicating the UK’s globally-recognized strength in this area.

Holding a Masters qualification won’t guarantee you a job on graduation, but the government’s Graduate labor market statistics: 2017 show that graduates and postgraduates had higher employment rates than non-graduates.

Postgraduates were also more likely to be in high-skilled employment (professional or managerial roles). For example, 77% of all working-age postgraduates were in high-skilled employment, compared with 65% of all working age graduates. Indeed, 73% of young postgraduates – those under the age of 30 – were in high-skilled
employment in 2017, compared with just 57% of young undergraduates.

It earn considerably more than their undergraduate counterparts. 2017 reports that full-time employed, working-age postgraduates had a median salary of £39,000 in 2017, compared with £33,000 for working-age undergraduates. What’s more, full-time employed postgraduates under 30 years of age had  median salary of £28,500 in 2017, compared with £25,000 for young undergraduates.

British Universities are Affordable, No Matter Which You Choose

No matter which university you choose to study in the UK it will cost you quite a lot. But there’s no need to worry. UK degrees take less time to attain than degrees in other countries. Other countries take two or three years for a postgraduate degree. But in UK it only takes one year for a postgraduate degree. That means that you are spending less money overall.

On top of that, there is a lot of” (scholarships, grants, and bursaries available from British universities or certain institutions that are just for international students. Over 20,000 international students also get other financial aid from the UK government. The good news is that, by contrast to the most popular study destinations, in the UK you’re allowed to work while studying. During the regular academic year, you’re permitted to work part-time up to 20 hours per week and up to full-time when school is out of term. You should check with your international advisor at your school before starting any work. If you do not want to be in violation of your visa, and rules change frequently.

However it’s important to keep in mind it is not always easy to find a job. So relying on work income to fund your entire education is not a good idea. Unless you have employment set up through your school before you arrive. You should plan to fund the entire first year of your studies without any employment income.

The Cost of Living is Reasonable

It’s fairly reasonable to live in England. Obviously, it will cost a bit more if you live in a city like London, but in general, costs are reasonable. A little bit of research about the area where your university is located may lead you to find an affordable place to live, if not exactly in the heart of a city. The advantage n UK is that there are excellent public transportation facilities available.

The cost of living also includes health care, and in the UK, that is not a thing to worry. The UK is one of the countries which has an institutionalized, national health care system, which will reduce your overall health care costs. In another one of our articles, we explore the National Health Service (NHS) and how that can help you stay healthy during the time you study in the UK.

The UK Has a Unique Culture

England is known for its multicultural society, with nearly all religions and faiths represented. With a racial, ethnic and religious jumble. The UK is very open to new traditions and cultures a great thing for students from other countries. You’ll get to mix and meet people throughout the world, and your experience will be even richer
because of being able to interact with so many different types of people. You’ll get insights into other countries and cultures, and learn a lot more than you may have been able to in your home country.

It the Gateway to The Rest of Europe

With the addition of the Channel Tunnel and low cost airlines, Europe is easier to access than ever. You can reach most areas of Europe from the UK within a few hours by train or direct flight. If you are studying in London or Manchester and you want a weekend away in Italy. You can fly anytime to Rome, Milan, Pisa, Genoa, Venice or several other cities in Italy.

Favorable Immigration Policy

Government in UK is making attempts to address work visa concerns and encourage more international students to study in the country post-Brexit by extending the post-study leave period for graduating students.

The Department for Education (DfE) recently announced, “There is no limit on the number of international students that can study in the UK. To ensure the UK continues to attract and welcome them, the post-study leave period will be extended to six months for undergraduate and master’s students, and a year for doctoral
students.”
